What is disenfranchised grief?*
- A grief that is unacknowledged or unvalidated by social norms.
- Sadness when your local McDonalds closes.
- A feeling that you are just like everybody else.
- A grief that is easy to process and work through.
Why would an unscripted (free form), drop-in, aid-in-dying bereavement group be of value?*
- There is no benefit with a free-form group because bereavement groups should have an educational component.
- It creates a safe space where the bereaved person can share their unique story without obligation or commitment.
- It provides an environment that allows people to write down their feelings more clearly.
- It provides is a great environment for providers to see how the bereaved deal with their loved one’s death.
What is the benefit of the Zoom platform for bereavement groups?*
- There is minimal benefit to using Zoom because grief work can only be done in person.
- You can attend in informal attire.
- It is easier for the facilitator(s).
- It removes many geographical and physical limitations and eliminates the travel time.
What is the benefit of the six-session bereavement group?*
- It fosters a sense of safety and bonding with others whose loved ones chose aid in dying.
- There is no benefit to the six-session bereavement group.
- It is the correct amount of time required for grieving members to recover.
- Members can choose which of the six sessions to attend.
